If you've ever created a gallery wall for a room in your home, you've probably faced the problem of too many frames and not enough art. Gallery walls are such a cool way to display personal photos and favourite illustrations and art pieces; but it just always seems to go that one or two frames are left without their photo match, and if you're like me, you end up hanging the empty frames anyway!
So for all of you out there living with blank frames and empty mattes, this video is for you! This little watercolour project isn't high art, it's a fun and easy afternoon of painting that will result in a graphic art piece perfect for that so-close-to-complete gallery. You can create any image with any colour palette, making a pic that will contrast and compliment all those other framed images.
And you don't need to draw the initial image if you're not into drawing. Trace a picture from a book or a print-out and get started that way. I suggest using punchy summery graphics; think, a pineapple, flamingo, seashell, sunflower, feather, sunglasses, succulents or a slice of watermelon!
